ESSENTIAL GRIP

In collaboration with Wilfa

Essential Grip is a blender concept developed in collaboration with Wilfa, focusing on accessibility and inclusive design. The project addressed the challenges faced by people with reduced motor control and grip strength, aiming to create a more ergonomic and supportive handle solution.

Through user insight and testing, we explored how traditional blender grips can be difficult to hold, stabilize, and control for users with motor difficulties. Our goal was to redesign the grip to provide better stability, comfort, and confidence during use — without compromising aesthetics or product identity.

The process involved:

  • User research and understanding motor control challenges

  • Iterative sketching and concept development

  • Ergonomic exploration of grip shapes and hand positions

  • 3D modeling and prototyping in Fusion 360

  • Refining form to balance accessibility, function, and brand expression

By combining inclusive design principles with technical modeling tools, we developed a grip concept that improves usability while maintaining a clean and modern visual language aligned with Wilfa’s products.

The project strengthened my skills in user-centered design, CAD modeling, and translating human needs into precise physical form.
