About this project
Polar Point is a service designed to make it safer and easier for tourists to navigate the complex public transport systems in Norway. For many visitors, unfamiliar ticketing systems, multiple transport providers, language barriers, and unclear wayfinding can create stress and uncertainty. Polar Point addresses these challenges by offering accessible, reliable, and clearly structured information through physical information kiosks placed at key transit hubs.
The service combines digital guidance with a strong physical presence, creating clear touchpoints where tourists can quickly understand routes, ticket options, pricing zones, and transfers. By simplifying complex transport structures into intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, Polar Point lowers the threshold for using public transportation.
A central part of the concept is building a strong and recognizable identity. Through consistent visual language, clear signage, and thoughtfully designed physical elements, Polar Point becomes a trustworthy guide in unfamiliar surroundings. The physical kiosks act not only as information points but also as symbols of safety and orientation, helping tourists feel more confident and in control.
By strengthening accessibility, clarity, and perceived security, Polar Point supports more sustainable travel behavior while improving the overall visitor experience in Norway.
