About this project
For three months, Jonas and I worked on a large-scale project that functioned as our bachelor-level assignment. We collaborated with Vipps, one of Norway’s leading mobile payment apps, with the goal of improving their user experience and strengthening the overall functionality of the app.
Our main focus was exploring and designing a customizable feature — essentially a “customize button” — that would allow users to tailor parts of the app to better fit their needs. We researched user behavior, analyzed pain points, and identified opportunities where personalization could create a more intuitive and efficient experience.

The project challenged us to think both creatively and analytically. We had to balance user needs, technical feasibility, and business value — similar to what you’d expect in a real product development environment.
In the end, the experience gave us practical insight into working with an established fintech company, strengthened our problem-solving skills, and showed us how thoughtful design choices can make a digital product more flexible, engaging, and competitive.
